Max Fried will make his final start of the spring Saturday night when the Atlanta Braves take on the Baltimore Orioles. Fried, who was named as the Braves Opening Day starter earlier this week, got a late start to the spring but has looked strong allowing just two runs over two spring outings. He allowed three hits, one run and struck out five over six innings in his last outing against the Rays.
Lefty John Means will make his sixth start of the spring for Baltimore. Means hasn’t pitched particularly well so far this spring allowing 16 hits and 10 runs in 15 1/3 innings. He faced the Braves back on March 17 and allowed two hits and one run over four innings.
Atlanta will roll out their likely lineup for Opening Day behind Fried Saturday.
