After a brief delay, Max Fried will make his spring debut for the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. Fried had been scheduled to pitch last week but was scratched after he was potentially exposed to someone with Covid-19.
Max Fried will make his spring debut for the Braves tomorrow. He'll have time to make 4-5 starts (depending on where he's placed in the rotation) before the regular season begins.

The delay won’t impact Fried being ready for the start of the 2021 regular season. He will still have time to make four or five starts depending on where the Braves elect to place him in the rotation.
Thanks to some early off days, Atlanta won’t need a fifth starter to begin the season which could also buy some additional time for Mike Soroka who is progressing, but still working his way back from last season’s Achilles injury.
