After two frustrating losses on Sunday and Monday, followed by an ugly loss involving an injury to Cristian Pache and a potential injury to Max Fried on Tuesday, the Braves will look to get back to winning ways as the offense showed signs of awakening on Tuesday, scoring eight runs. Charlie Morton will take the mound and he has been pretty good this season with a modest 3.27 ERA and a more impressive a 2.06 FIP and 2.85 xFIP. At the very least it would seem likely that he will produce at least a solid outing against the middling-to-bad Marlins lineup, which should hopefully allow the offense to win the game for Atlanta.
The upside of getting blown out on Tuesday is that none of Atlanta’s best bullpen arms were used, so all healthy arms should be available to try to give Atlanta the best chance to hold onto a lead if the offense and Morton can get one.
