The injury bug has bitten the Atlanta Braves once again. Marcell Ozuna left Tuesday’s win over the Red Sox during the third inning after dislocating his left middle and ring fingers on a sliding attempt into third base. He was sent back to Atlanta to be evaluated by team doctors and the news is not good. Ozuna posted a story on his Instagram page saying that he will be out of action for six weeks due to the injury.

Ozuna hasn’t been quite himself at the plate this season yet hitting just .213/.288/.356 with seven home runs in 48 games. Still, Atlanta will be hard pressed to replace his bat in the lineup. The Braves currently have only three true outfielders on the 40-man roster that are healthy in Ronald Acuña Jr., Guillermo Heredia and Ender Inciarte. Ozuna will soon join Cristian Pache on the injured list. Heredia is starting in left field on Wednesday with Ender Inciarte slotted into center field.
