Freeman returns to lineup for opener with Phillies

Otherwise, it’s what you’d expect

Well, Freddie Freeman’s back. Not that there was too much doubt.

As for the Phillies, well, they got healthy just in time for this game.

Harper’s been destroying the ball so far this season with the highest xwOBA in baseball, and he’s back from a wrist issue that kept him out of the lineup for a bit. Segura is back from a quad issue that caused him to miss about half of the season-to-date, and was also hitting pretty well before he went down. That makes tonight somewhat of a tougher test for Charlie Morton, and the Braves might have their hands full with Zach Eflin.

These guys are all familiar with one another at this point, and their seasonal inputs look like this:

Meanwhile, in terms of batter-versus-pitcher stuff, things have looked like this:

It’s kinda funny that Segura has two homers off Morton, when no one else but Harper has even one.

The Braves, on the flip side, have rolled like this against Eflin.
