At this current time no replacement has been named, and instead the current staff will take over the managerial responsibilities. Mississippi was 18-15 and two games behind first place coming into tonight with a game against the Biloxi Shuckers slated for today at 7:35 PM EST.
The news does come as a bit of a shock, however, because he was named manager of Mississippi just back in March of 2021. Wyatt had been working as a coach dating back to 2012. During his playing career Wyatt had two stops in the majors including a 19-game stint for Cleveland back in 2009, and three games for the Pirates in 2011.
As we learn more we will update the story.
