The Atlanta Braves will continue their homestand Friday evening when they begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This series will be the first meeting between the two clubs since the NLCS last October.

The Braves pushed Ian Anderson’s scheduled start back to Friday’s series opener. Anderson has been good in his first full season in the Majors, but struggled in his last start allowing seven hits and four runs in just four innings against the Mets. He had pitched well coming into that outing allowing just one run over his previous two starts. Anderson faced the Dodgers twice in the postseason allowing six hits and two runs over seven innings despite seven walks.

The Dodgers will go with left-hander Julio Urias in Friday’s opener and he is also looking to bounce back after a rough outing. Urias was tagged for 11 hits and six earned runs in five innings last Saturday.

Los Angeles has gotten several key players back from injury over the last week. Cody Bellinger is back after a lengthy stint on the injured list. Outfielder AJ Pollack and pitcher Jimmy Nelson were activated from the injured list on Thursday.

First pitch from Truist Park is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. ET and can be seen on Bally Sports South.
