This isn’t really the NLCS rematch Braves fans were hoping to see, at least not like this. But here we are, and the Braves will attempt to get their season back on track and rescue their playoff odds from “mostly dead” once again... this time against pretty much the most talented team in baseball.
When the Braves last faced Julio Urias, he was throwing three perfect innings against them to close out their NLCS loss. Ian Anderson has a lot to make up for after arguably his worst career outing last time out, which unfortunately came against the basically non-existent Mets roster.
Still, the Braves aren’t really supposed to be as bad as their record indicates, and given that they’re playing at home, they’re (very barely) favored to win this game, at least by some models. So, maybe this series will be like some kind of bad Pandora’s Box metaphor or something. I don’t know, go watch baseball.
