Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings will officially get underway Sunday as executives, agents, players and media come together in San Diego. In recent days, the offseason has shown signs of life with Jacob deGrom heading to Texas on a big five-year deal. Plenty of other top free agents remain on the board starting with Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge.
For their part, the Braves have done most of their heavy lifting after locking up more of its young core. However, they still have a few questions remaining at shortstop and possibly left field.
The Contemporary Era Hall of Fame committee will also meet Sunday. There are eight candidates on the ballot including former Braves Fred McGriff and Dale Murphy. Both Chipper Jones and Greg Maddux are part of the 12-person voting committee. The results will be announced Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on MLB Network.
We will be tracking the latest rumors and deals in this thread throughout the day so be sure to check back.
