Kyle Wright allowed two hits over six scoreless innings to help the Atlanta Braves to their second straight win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Braves scored two runs in the first on a double by Marcell Ozuna and a sacrifice fly by Ozzie Albies. Thanks to a strong pitching performance, that was all the runs they would need. A.J. Minter, Darren O’Day and Will Smith closed it out allowing just one run over the final three frames.
The Braves move to 2-1 on the season and will try to secure a series win Sunday afternoon when Ian Anderson makes his 2022 debut. Hard throwing rookie prospect Hunter Greene will make his major league debut for Cincinnati.
