Atlanta Braves news is running thin, but fortunately, we are heading toward the busier part of the offseason as Winter Meetings are coming up December 3-6. After that, we’ve got the MLB Draft Lottery, the Rule 5 Draft, and a few more award winners to announce. Until then, there are a couple of notes surrounding the 2023 Braves.

MLB News:

The St Louis Cardinals signed right-hander Kyle Gibson to a one-year deal worth $12M. The contract includes an option for 2025.

The Chicago White Sox have signed former All-Star infielder Paul DeJong to a major league deal. Full details of the contract have not been released, but it will be a one-year deal.

The St Louis Cardinals have officially announced their one-year, $10M deal with right-hander Lance Lynn.

The San Diego Padres have hired Mike Shildt as their new manager. He takes the helm on a two-year contract.

Detroit Tigers legend Willie Hernandez passed away Monday at age 69. In 1984, he was MVP, the Cy Young Award winner, and a World Series Champion.
