An historic weekend across baseball.

Shohei Ohtani finally made his long awaited decision over the weekend, signing with the Dodgers for 10 years and $700M. While many expected the Dodgers to be the team that Ohtani signed with, the amount of the signing was truly staggering. However, even with Ohtani in the fold, the Dodgers still remain behind the Braves in terms of overall roster talent in the present. With that being said, the Dodgers and Braves now are the two National League teams best setup for contention into the future.

The Braves also made another move over the weekend, sending newly acquired Max Stassi to the White Sox to continue shedding payroll and unneeded talents from last week’s Jarred Kelenic trade.

Shawn Coleman discusses this and more on the latest edition of the Daily Hammer.
