MLB: Winter Meetings Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Baseball’s Winter Meetings in Nashville will continue on Monday. The meetings got off and running Sunday with Atlanta Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos meeting with the media and discussing a variety of topics. Most notably, Anthopoulos told reporters that the Braves weren’t considering trading any of their young core. There had been speculation at times this offseason that Atlanta might move Ozzie Albies or Michael Harris to help acquire a pitcher. Anthopoulos didn’t waste any time pulling off the first big move of the Winter Meetings by acquiring Jarred Kelenic, Marco Gonzales and Evan White from the Seattle Mariners.

The results of the Contemporary Era Hall of Fame ballot were announced Monday with former manager Jim Leyland being elected to the Hall of Fame.

Former Braves third base coach and new Angels manager Ron Washington is scheduled to speak to the media on Monday. Braves manager Brian Snitker will have his media session Tuesday.
