Tuesday’s Winter Meetings open thread

The annual Draft Lottery will highlight Tuesday at the Winter Meetings

MLB: Winter Meetings Kyle Schwab-USA TODAY Sports

Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings will continue Tuesday in Nashville. The Atlanta Braves made a splash Sunday night by acquiring outfielder Jarred Kelenic along with pitcher Marco Gonzales and first baseman Evan White. Kelenic was clearly the centerpiece of the deal and The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reports that Atlanta is expected to try and flip Gonzales and his $12.25 million salary in another deal.

The second annual MLB Draft Lottery will take place Tuesday at the Winter Meetings. The Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies all have an 18.3 percent chance to take home the top pick. The Braves are slotted in for the No. 26 pick in the first round.

Braves manager Brian Snitker is scheduled to meet with the media on Tuesday. We will be here providing updates so be sure to check back throughout the day.
