Major League Baseball’s international signing period will officially open Monday and will continue through December 15. While signings will continue throughout the year, the biggest names will come off the board over the next couple of days.

The Braves will have a bonus pool of $5,925,000 and are expected to give all of it to Venezuelan shortstop Jose Perdomo who is seen as a top three prospect in the class. They will also make a number of smaller signings as any of $10,000 or less doesn’t count against their bonus pool.

This is the third-straight year where the Braves have had a full bonus pool. Atlanta signed 21 players a year ago, including outfielder Luis Guanipa for a reported $2.5 million.

We will be tracking all of the Braves’ signings as they become available throughout the next couple of days so be sure to check back. Unless noted, the Braves have not confirmed any of the listed signings.

  • Jose Perdomo, SS, Venezuela, ($5,000,000)

MLB Pipeline reports that Perdomo signed for $5 million, which is a little less than what was originally reported. That will give the Braves a little more room to sign more players. Per Ben Badler, Perdomo’s bonus is the biggest in MLB history for a player born in Venezuela.

UPDATE: The Braves have announced all 12 of the signings.
