Talking Chop Podcast Episode 317: A three-run lead with six outs to go

Championship Series - Los Angeles Dodgers v Atlanta Braves - Game Two Photo by Todd Kirkland/Getty Images

The Atlanta Braves were six outs away from a 3-0 lead in the National League Championship Series, and the team held a 5-2 lead with one of its best relievers on the mound. From there, things crumbled for Atlanta on Tuesday evening, and the result was a 6-5 loss that sent Braves Country to bed in unhappy fashion.

TC’s Brad Rowland and Eric Cole host Episode 317 of the Talking Chop Podcast to break it all down, and topics include the following:

  • The first inning was truly a roller coaster ride, from a missed opportunity for Atlanta to a two-run home run by the Dodgers and a minor miracle to get out of the inning trailing by only two runs
  • Atlanta had a big inning in the fourth, chasing Walker Buehler and taking the lead
  • After an insurance run, Luke Jackson took the ball in the eighth inning with a three-run cushion and Cody Bellinger made a big swing
  • Looking ahead to Game 4, with Julio Urias on the mound for Los Angeles and a bullpen game for Atlanta
  • Much, much more
